The problem is not sending someone to a captive portal. The problem is that there is no way to reauthenticate the device after that. The cloud controller decides when to reuthenticate and there is no API to influence that. The only thing that seems to work is to use the “Web Auth” mode, as described in the PacketFence Network device configuration guide.
