OK Thank you Louis. I have install packetfence in a virtual machine and every
thing works. The next step is to configure the switch to work with packetfence.

that port security is easier.
It may be easier to deploy (and that is very questionable), but you are just
moving complexity around.
With port security you need a captive-portal, with all the potential issues
that that entails.In addition port security is little more than MAC
authentication.Anyone can spoof a MAC.
RADIUS and 802.1x are the only way to do this securely if that is really the
concern.
