Oh great hive:

We just started our semester and I am starting to get calls from my residents
about Windows 10 connecting through Packefence.

The computers can connect to the network and get all of the correct IP
information (ip, gateway and DNS). When you fire up a web browser, all of them
report no connection. I went through all of the firewalls, AV and Internet
security suites and turned them off to get the same results

Near the end I was informed that this was a recently built machine and the
owner was unsure if Windows Updates ran.

I finally manually registered the computer and low and behold, it connected
with no problems.

Any clues on a better resolution or is this a one off thing?
