Hello,

nothing is missing but when you have something behind the phone then the device will not detect that the network changed. The only way to fix that is to use 802.1x or to bounce the port (but the phone will reboot).

Fabrice

Hello,

I'm trying to install PacketFence with mac authentication of an IP phone with a PC attached thank's to a radius server.

When I plug only a PC, it authenticates well and I can modify the VLAN changing the role of the PC in the "Node" section. When the VLAN changes, the PC automatically sends a new DHCP request and changes its IP address in terms of its new VLAN number.
(In this case, everything is working as expected)

The problem is when I plug an IP phone with a PC attached, the VLAN is modified on the corresponding switch port but the PC keeps its old IP address and doesn't send any new DHCP request.

Any idea of what I'm missing ?

Thank you
