if ntlm_auth is failing, then no amount of fiddling with the PacketFence
authentication sources is going to fix this.
I suggest you start a radius debugging session with
# raddebug -f /usr/local/pf/var/run/radiusd.sock -t 3600
That will allow you to see the whole authentication (and there will be a lot of
output...)
You could be hitting a case where the mschap module must be configured
differently for machine auth.
Please provide the full output to a failing machine authentication with
raddebug.
It takes out all the guesswork.
