Hello all.
I have three PacketFence 7 ZEN machines in a clustered environment and I'm
having a bit of an odd issue. The way I have PF set up is that any PC that gets
plugged into a PF managed port automatically goes to our guest VLAN. We then
manually place that PC into the correct VLAN via the admin interface. That is
all working correctly. What is not working is internet access.
For example, when plugged in the PC goes to the guest VLAN as it should on the
switch but it gets no connection out. I place the PC into our main internal
VLAN to test and again, it works correctly and it's placed into the correct
VLAN on the switch. However I still get no connection out. I'm given correct
DHCP addresses and whatnot but I am not able to ping anything internally or
externally nor am I able to get any sort of connection out.
As a test I unplugged this PC from a PF managed port and plugged it into
another port on the same switch that is NOT managed by PF and I get an internet
connection (using that same internal VLAN I tried with PF).
Has anyone had this issue before? I've used both PacketFence 6.0 and 6.5 with
this same configuration and everything worked fine with those versions. Is
there something in PF 7 that maybe I'm missing and forgot to configure properly
that would allow a connection out?
Thanks,
Mike Campanaro
