Hi,

We have enabled the tasks person_cleanup and node_cleanup to comply with privacy regulations within the EU. Both tasks don't seem to do very much. :-(

Let's focus on person_cleanup:

From pfmon.conf:
[person_cleanup]
status=enabled
interval=1D
#
[node_cleanup]
status=enabled
interval=1D
delete_window=1M
unreg_window=3M

I have done:
bin/pfcmd configreload hard
plus
/usr/local/pf/bin/pfcmd service pfmon restart

I have even rebooted the server to make sure, but we still have many users from 2016, without any devices. The users are all email activations, the task should apply to those too, we hope...

Perhaps this is relevant too: There is no [maintanance] section in the output of
bin/pfcmd pfconfig show config::Pf

This is on pf 7.1, fully patched with pf-maint.

Is there anything else we need to do, to expire those email-based portal registrations?

We also have many unreg nodes that are still present in the database, despite the node_cleanup. Many of them with:
- last_seen: 0000-00-00 00:00:00
- registration/unregistration date: empty

Could there be a common cause that node_cleanup and person_cleanup are both not doing anything..?

MJ
