My packetfence 7.3 cluster works great but I have a couple questions and I
hope you guys can help!
1. After my uses registers a device, it take a bit for my packetfence to
talk to the switch and the switch to change vlans so on the enabling
network access page the status bar runs and message displays saying "Enable
to detect network connectivity. Try restarting your web browser or opening
a new tab to see if you access has been successfully enabled". Now to me
its not a big deal because 15 seconds later access is granted but my boss
feel the helpdesk will get calls. Is there a way to put a delay on that
message?
2. I created a DNS entry for my packetfence cluster address and wanted my
students to be able to reach the device registration page so they can add
their own devices. So when we go to the it, (
https://Cluster_DNS_Name/device-registration) it redirects me to
https://Server1_DNS_Name/captive-portal?destination_url=https://Cluster_DNS_Name/device-registration.
Now if I just go to the https://Server1_DNS_Name/device-registration it
work good.
