Hello Steve,
debugging windbindd is my nightmare.
Can you see on the AD side if you see some error in the logs ?
Also can you find the PacketFence machine in the AD (ou=Computers), if
yes remove it and retry.
Regards
Fabrice

I'm trying to join our Packetfence server to our AD domain. No luck so
far, and the errors I'm getting aren't really that helpful. In
Policies and Access Control -> Active Directory Domains, I'm getting
"Test Join failed!" and "Error! An error occurred while contacting the
server. Please try again later". I've tried from the command line using:
ip netns exec <our domain> net -d10 ads join -S <our domain> -s
/etc/samba/<our domain>.conf -U administrator
and I get "Unexpected information received". Any way I get some some
information on what's actually going wrong?
