These are the notes we used to get the database configured.
1. Click “Test” to start – it’s a weird bug
2. Set root password for database
3. Test root password
4. Create Database
5. Create Account
Hope it helps. Packetfence is an awesome software. It has a few quirks here and
there, but overall, I am impressed.

This is my first attempt at installing PacketFence. I can't get past the
database configuration point. this is the error i get :
Error! Please verify your configuration.
I am using the version 8.1
