Hello Roger,
you need to set a "other_domain_names" configuration parameter.
In pf.conf:
[captive_portal]
#
# captive_portal.other_domain_names
#
# Other domain names under which the captive portal responds
other_domain_names=aliasname.edu
then /usr/local/pf/bin/pfcmd configreload hard
and restart httpd.dispatcher httpd.portal and haproxy-portal
