Hi all, I have problems while finishing the inital configuration of Packetfence (first steps after the installation).
It's very irritating, because I tried on various virtual maschines with current updates (Debian 8, CentOS 7) and virtualizer (Xen, VMWare). I can complete the installation with success, but as soon as I start the initial configuration in the web browser (https://server:1443/), the system begins to become unstable. Sometimes I can't go to step 2 (networks), because nothing happens, when I click on Continue" (after activating VLAN Enforcment or something else). When it works, then I sometimes have problems to configure the network interfaces/vlans (error connecting the server"). In unsual cases, I can finish the configuration with this errors until step 7, where I have to start all the services. But this last step haven't worked until now. I tried with varios internet browsers I noticed, that as soon as I start the initial configuration on the web GUI, the following syslog error logs appear: _httpd_admin: httpd.admin(10478) FATAL: [mac:[undef]] unable to connect to database: Access denied for user 'pf'@'localhost' (using password: YES) at /usr/local/pf/lib/pf/WebAPI/InitHandler.pm line 50.#012 (pf::db::db_connect)_ I do not understand these circumstances, because this user is configured in step 3 (data base config) of the initial configuration (and not before). But it seems, that the system needs this user before the initial configuration? Nevertheless, there is a pf user configured in the pfconfig.conf file, after I tried the initial configuration I also tried to start the services manually, but it didn't work. It seems, that the hole software package is unstable, especially the web gui during the initial configuration. I hope, that somebody has an idea - it's very frustrating. :/ Thank you for considering my request!
