Hello,
you need to enable pfdetect in the packetfence config.
Go here:
https://pf_ip:1443/admin/configuration#configuration/main/services
then check pfdetect
After that do:
/usr/local/pf/bin/pfcmd service pf start
For the error, are you using the latest version of PacketFence ?

Hi friend,
I'm trying to create a Syslog parserregex rule?0?2to get pid from portal
loging logs. And I found I can't create the rule. From
/usr/local/pf/logs/httpd.admin.log I got error log "httpd_admin:
httpd.admin(24907) ERROR: [mac:unknown] Caught exception in
pfappserver::Controller::Config::Pfdetect->create "Can't call method
"named_captures" on an undefined value at
/usr/local/pf/lib/pfappserver/Form/Field/PfdetectRegexRule.pm line
117." (pfappserver::PacketFence::Controller::Root::end)". And then I
find pfdetect is not started. But I can't start pfdetect service
neither via CLI or admin GUI.
Could you pls help ?
