Try to run a ldapsearch command from your PF server:
#v+
ldapsearch -H ldap://IP_SRV_LDAP -D "DN OF PF USER" -W -vv -b "base_dn"
#v-
You will need openldap-clients or ldap-utils packages depending of your OS.
