Thanks for your answer.

Cisco cannot send accounting packets if port-security is used. Only on 802.1x 
events

If was hoping that PF had a another way to check if a node is online or not.

Hi Martijn,

as I am aware online / offline status relies on radius accounting. Could it be 
your Cisco switches are not sending account information when not configured for 
mab or 802.1x ? On our Aruba devices this is the case...
