Hi Folks,

We are still trying to upgrade to 9.1 from 6.5 but when we switch over to the
new server several thousand clients
start to authenticate on the new server (MAB) and the ‘top’ display on the
server climbs in excess of 134 as the RADIUS
authentications start to bottleneck the whole server and it crashes to a
grinding halt until I turn of MAB on the WiFI.

Our current 6.5 server is running with 16 CPUs and 16G of RAM and was built
from the 6.5 ZEN a few years ago.

Can anyone tell me how I can increase the number of CPU’s on a VM built using
the v9 ZEN OVF, my VMWare 6.5 vSphere
Centre will not let me increase the number of CPUs beyond 8.

Before anyone suggests it, I am not in a position to spin up a cluster for
load-balancing – yet!

I have built a standalone CENTOS 7 server and that lets my crank it up to 64
CPUs if I want (I wish).

Andrew
