You're right.
So what about - for example - private devices which I don't have
access to? Is there any way to achieve a similar result with, for
example, fingerprinting?
If PacketFence is able to receive a DHCP request for these devices, you
can trigger a security event (violation) based on DHCP fingerprinting
using Fingerbank.
