Hi all -

I'm looking to hear from anybody who is successfully performing Nessus
scans via PacketFence. I'm interested to hear how well it's working for
you, what settings you are using and how many endpoints you are able to
scan at any given time.

I am wondering about two scenarios:

   1. We scan devices we own and can do credentialed scans
   2. We scan BYOD and can't do credentialed scans

In either case, it seems like a scan of a single host will take ~10
minutes. Based on that, I'm thinking it may be best to get the user
registered and on the network before scanning (by using the *Scan after
registration* option).

I'm also curious how a Nessus scan engine ties into the Nessus Scan
security event. Does simply configuring a Nessus scan engine and adding it
to a Connection Profile allow for automatic security event triggering
(i.e., a vulnerability found during the Nessus scan will be used to
automatically trigger the Nessus Scan event)?

Thanks!

Max
