We're having issues with 802.1x authentication of devices that are plugged
into the network behind IP phones (Polycom). We are using an SG-350 for
our switch.

Working - plugging the laptop directly into the switch, RADIUS works and we
see:

   - device registers properly and get placed in the correct VLAN
   - the "host/computername.domain" format of the device in the RADIUS
   Audit Log
   - the proper EAP-Type (MSCHAPv2) in the log
   - the proper Connection-Type (Ethernet-EAP) in the log.

If we then move the registered laptop behind a phone, it all works as
expected as above.

Not working - plug an unregistered laptop into a phone (for testing it has
been the same phone):

   - the laptop does not get registered
   - we see the mac address (without colons) as the User Name in the RADIUS
   Audit Log
   - EAP-Type of "MD5" in the log
   - Connection-Type of "Ethernet-NoEAP" in the log

Thank you in advance for any suggestions,
Ted
