No. It’s not necessary.
Try following workaround:
- stop packetfence-netdata service
- stop packetfence-pfstats service
- remove directory where netdata store data:
#v+
rm  -rf /var/cache/netdata/*
#v-
- restart packetfence-netdata service
- restart packetfence-pfstats service
