Hi,

yes if we check the VOIP Option it does work.
So we need to create a new Authentication Source “Authorization” with a
condition for the MAC-address.
We though we could rely on Fingerbank but authentication via MAC could be also
ok.

Thanks for your help.

regards
Bastian

Hello,

You could automatically register phones with a vlan_filter based on the Mac OUI
or pre-import all phones Mac addresses in bulk with a CSV import.

If you check the VOIP option on the Mac address, does it work ?

Thanks,

Hi,

we reinstalled our old v5 Packetfence with the current Version.
We have a working AD Authentication in Place, but we want that our Yealink
Phones get the voice VLAN automatically,
even if they are new.
We have Fingerbank in place an the device gets registered somehow, but it
didn’t get any VLAN or Role.
Also the Option “Voice Over IP” didn’t get activated on the device.
Connection Type is Ethernet-NoEAP, Fingerprint sets the Device Class as
“Hardware Manufactor” by a Score from 29 Percent.
Another device only gets 15% and this seems not enough to set a device Class.
Both are different Yealink phones.

Is there a way to set a Vlan or Role by device Class and change the needed % of
Fingerbank to recognize a device if needed?

If we enable the “Voice Over IP” setting on the Node and replug the device,
everything is working. (Phone has the Option “is a phone” and gets the voice
VLAN)
So basically we just want to recognized the device automatically as Voice Over
IP, as everything else seems to work as it should.

Bastian
