This change was intentional in order to show the natural order without asserting a default search criteria in the UI. It fixed performance issues with default views using non-indexed columns in the search criteria (eg: mac != NULL), which was causing heavy MySQL queries - temporary tables - in large deployments.
In v12 all the default views are expected to perform well in most deployments, while the user still has the ability to define criteria at their own risk by adding a “and” statement .
