Hello,
Packetfence mariadb services often stops working after 2-3 months
and needs to be restarted . Sql socket connection error is very common, i
have checked the path is correct and the socket is present at the
specified path. Kindly specify what could be the possible issues.

gets the following error:

handling process_dhcpv4 : unable to connect to database: *Can't connect to
local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/**mysql/mysql.sock**' *(2 "No
such file or directory") at /usr/local/pf/lib/pf/dal.pm line 70.
