I have a problem with Mplayer for opensuse 10.3. Hissing noise appears on movies with mp3 tracks, using: ac = "mp3acm," fixes problem temporarily, but creates new one on other files.
This bug is similar to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mplayer/+bug/85751 I found some other confirmations from opensuse 10.3: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/susenovell-60/noise-when-running-mplayer-under-opensuse-10.3-587029/ http://www.suseforums.net/index.php?s=556ff730f67fabe45ecec17255f916d3&showtopic=39247&pid=200325&st=0& Threads are about RC, but it shows in final too. My mplayer output (on files with problem, without workaround): --- AVI file format detected.
