I am runing SuSE 10.0- 2.6.13-15.11-default #1 Mon Jul 17 09:43:01 UTC
2006 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I am trying to upgrade my MPlayer from
MPlayer-1.0pre8-8.pm.csn20060811.x86_64
to this version.
twolame deps upgraded fine.
so did libx264-57-0.0svn20071225-0.pm.1.x86_64.rpm
and libx264-devel-0.0svn20071225-0.pm.1.x86_64.rpm
but I got the following error when I tried to update the following:
rpm -Uvh x264-0.0svn20071225-0.pm.1.x86_64.rpm

error: Failed dependencies:
libx264.so.48()(64bit) is needed by (installed)
MPlayer-1.0pre8-8.pm.svn20060811
Since this is part of the x264 codecs I did not want to go anyfarther.
in fear of breaking my existing
Mplayer.
libx264.so.48()(64bit) is no where on the system or in suse updates or
on packman site. I have seen others
had issue with this but could not find resolution.
Any assistance would be very much appreciated.
