I install your rpm and it would not run (see errors below) and then I dl'ed
http://ppa.launchpad.net/gilir/ubuntu/pool/main/s/screenlets/screenlets_0.0.13~bzr182-gutsy1-1.tar.gz
which was all I could find and compiled it and screenlets work though I do
get some "(screenlets-manager.py:32124): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **:
gnome_vfs_monitor_add: assertion `text_uri != NULL' failed" error's.
running your rpm gives me:
/usr/bin/screenlets-manager
It looks like you are running kde

Note: when I ran alien against the .deb I got the same error as above but
