Hi John,
currently, tora is rewritten based on qt4 an qscintilla version 2.
This can be compiled on openSUSE 10.3 and I am using it, like some other
guys too.
The package only requires the mentioned libs, but not with a specific
version (although I am using the mentioned versions).
If you have problem installing/using the rpm, I think you should have a
look there.
And please try the newer version.
Please keep me informed about this issue.
kind regards,
Rainer

I see back in November Rainer said "tora cannot be compiled for
opensuse 10.3.", but I also see:
http://ftp.skynet.be/pub/packman/suse/10.3/i586/tora-svn-1.3.999-0.pm.r2616.0.i586.rpm
http://ftp.skynet.be/pub/packman/suse/10.3/i586/tora-svn-1.3.999-0.pm.r2639.0.i586.rpm
However, when I try to install either of these, YaST complains that I
need:
libqt4-4.3.1-23.4.i586 is needed by
tora-svn-1.3.999-0.pm.r2616.0.i586[http://ftp.skynet.be/pub/packman/suse/10.3/_1]
(libqt4 == 4.3.1-23.4)
libqscintilla2-2-1.73-23.i586 is needed by
tora-svn-1.3.999-0.pm.r2616.0.i586[http://ftp.skynet.be/pub/packman/suse/10.3/_1]
(libqscintilla2-2 == 1.73-23)
Even though these are the versions that I do have installed. So I
"ignore" the dependencies. However, when I then try to run tora, I get:
tora: symbol lookup error: tora: undefined symbol:
_ZN13QsciScintilla16staticMetaObjectE
Is it still the case that Tora is incompatible with SuSE 10.3, or is
there just something I've missed here?
Thanks!
