That said, note that the package from multimedia:audio (and even Factory) OBS repo has some patches that you may want. And it is Packman-friendly (%bcond_with ffmpeg, %bcond_with mad and %bcond_with twolame)... you may want to just use it, as Manfred Tremmel already does with xine. I use it at home:RedDwarf:multimedia:backports without problems. The same can be said about sox.
