Dear Lee, Toni, Thanks a lot for the clarification. Indeed, I am using KDE-4.3.4 so it is not because of KDE-4.4 upgrade. I think Toni's comment is right, packman packages are apparently build against qt4-4.4.3 (openSuSE-11.1) and qt4-4.5.3(openSuSE-11.2) while kdenlive > 0.7.7.0 requires at least qt4-4.4.6. Thus the problem. So, even though I have qt4-4.4.6.0 installed this doesn't help since the build is against an older version of qt. Unfortunately, I am not very experienced in compiling large packages with complex dependencies set such as kdenlive, so it would be difficult for me to follow Toni's advice and compile src.rpm myself. Is there any way you guys can compile packages for openSuSE-11.2 / 11.1 against qt4-4.4.6? Judging from the the forums a lot of people would find such packages very useful. Thanks a lot.

They need newer versions of kde/qt packages. openSuSE-11.1 ships with qt4-4.4.3 openSuSE-11.2 ships with qt4-4.5.3 and both versins shows this problem, upstream should add the version check for qt4-4.6.x.... A solution for you: grab the src.rpm and do a local recompile against the newer qt4 libraries. -- have fun Toni -- _______________________________________________ Packman mailing list Packman@links2linux.de http://lists.links2linux.de/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/packman
