Even with gpodder 2.8 on the Packman repository for openSUSE 11.3, it still depends on "gnome-btdownload" but this is nowhere to be found. Can it be repackaged so that gnome-btdownload is not a dependency? It's not even used by gpodder anymore if I remember correctly.
