Hi! For several years, playing H264 PAFF samples (like most 1080i samples recorded from DVB) was not possible with MPlayer's native mpegts demuxer (which still is the default for playing ts recordings) without seeing horrible A/V desync. Even playing them with -demuxer lavf showed jitter problems (at least on some display devices).
These timing problems where finally fixed last week, I did not receive any problem reports since, so I strongly recommend to update MPlayer.
