Hi. I am using OpenSuse Tumbleweed with Packman Tumbleweed repository.
Recently my kernel version got update from 3.9.0.6-desktop to 3.9.1-7.1
but
broadcom-wl mod from Packman didn't get that update and because of that
my wifi
broke. As a temporal fix I uninstalled the newest version of kernel.
Will the
proper version of broadcom-wl appear in packman repositories? If yes
then when
should I expect it? Also is there a way to know if packman repository has
"synced" with the official one or not to prevent such problems?

A preferred option would be to use b43 if your hardware permits?
The updated 'wl' shouldn't take too long, but how long I don't know.
The only obvious way to know if packman has the necessary updates it to
take note if 'wl' is being updated at the same time as the kernel. Not all
kernel updates though will require an update to 'wl'
