Hi,

I installed Handbrake from packman (handbrake-gtk-0.9.9-2.9.x86_64 <http://packman.links2linux.org/download/handbrake/1574536/handbrake-gtk-0.9.9-2.9.x86_64.rpm>) on my brand new openSUSE 13.1 x64 system today. The installation with zypper automatically installed libx264-135-0.135svn20130723-1.3.x86_64 <http://packman.links2linux.org/download/libx264/1567378/libx264-135-0.135svn20130723-1.3.x86_64.rpm> (among others) as a dependency.

When I try to encode a video using x264 I get a segmentation fault. Encoding with MPEG2 or MPEG4 works fine.

I searched for a solution and found this Ubuntu bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/x264/+bug/1241772 <http://packman.links2linux.org/download/libx264/1567378/libx264-135-0.135svn20130723-1.3.x86_64.rpm>

It seems that compiling using -fno-aggressive-loop-optimizations should be used to work around segfault caused by changes in gcc 4.8.

Can you please provide a fixed package?

Thanks,

/~JC
