Hmm, what would be the suggested recipe then?

1. zypper dup # accept all vendor changes packman ->
obs
2. zypper dup --from multimedia:apps # accept all vendor changes
3. zypper dup --from packman/Essentials \
--from packman/Multimedia # accept all vendor changes

If Multimedia works afterwards, ok, but, what I really hate (to be
honest) is the to be expected amount of "xxx packages will not be
updated" messages when running "zypper up" on a daily basis, with "xxx"
being packages available both in multimedia:apps and Packman...

Is this what you have/had in mind?
