I tried to install mkchromecast again, but I ran into a _file conflict_
between ffmpeg-3 and ffmpeg-4:

I aborted, uninstalled ffmpeg-3, installed ffmpeg-4 and then
mkchromecast. This seems to have worked.

OK, I was somehow confused by the name. But I also haven't had a coffee
yet.
And yes, I am probably late, as the package has been built Yesterday,
and it seems to be the initial x86_64 package for 15.2 (that I gather
from the publishing logs of PMBS). Probably we changed some setting in
the build environment, that lead to building ffmpeg-4 for 15.2 und
subsequently publishing.
So: please try again installing mkchromecast.
@Thomas: Can you please give it another try?
