Hm, it's getting stranger. To reproduce the error I uninstalled the
flatpack vlc and installed vlc from packman again:
vlc --version

When I unistalled vlc zypper also removed MediathekView and vlc-vdpau
(vlc-vdpau-3.0.21-1699.9.pm.11.x86_64).
When I reinstalled packman's vlc I only installed MediathekView in
addition and... now vlc works again. So the problem may be in vlc-vdpau...

Since nobody else here seems to have a problem with the packman vlc I
should move on to the vlc makers.
