... and the cause of that is an update of obs-common and my lacking time to patch obsstoragesetup to automatically adjust the worker configuration for the available memory of the host machine. Fixed, the workers now have 5745MB (buildwk1:[1-4]) and 7509MB (buildwk3:[1-4]) and should build packages requiring more RAM in their constraints.
