So I ran into an amd-gpu lockup from Mesa 24, had to install the TW Repo
(at a lower priority 299) to get Mesa 25.
I have reverted to using hard coded 15.6 (instead of $distver) for
packman for now. Wondering if this trick to switch vendors to 15.6 will
break some basic libraries. I had good luck with Mesa 25 from TW, so
this is why I am asking about packman.
