Marc and me are primarily providing the "back office" infrastructure of the Packman project. These task are not mainly not dealing with maintaining the software packages inside the build service instance. The package maintenance is currently upheld by a few - very valuable - project supporters (and there could be more!), Marc and mine urge at the moment is dropping or handing over the maintenance of the build and publication infrastructure. These consist of the build service instance (PMBS), the build workers (up to here mostly mine), and the publishing and distribution storage and computing installations on Marc's side. It is very noble (and brave!) that you want to step up with good ideas and probably lots of work, but I believe your offer is not the one for our current wishes. We have software installations running on our own (resp. rented) hardware, which we want to either drop entirely (a.k.a. end of the project) or move to different hardware or hosting solutions run and maintained by successors. Once a continuation is agreed upon, your offer may be a good proposal for the future, but it currently does not answer Marc's and my wish for the upcoming decision to end the project or a hand-over. Keep up your interest, and thank you for your offer, greetings, Stefan _______________________________________________ Packman mailing list [email protected] https://lists.links2linux.de/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/packman
