I'd guess that "makepkg -g >> PKGBUILD" does bad things too if the source is not there. Try this change in download_file in makepkg: - eval "$dlcmd || ret=\$?" + eval "$dlcmd >&2 || ret=\$?" If that is good, send a patch. Allan
