I wonder if this can be achieved in our current mode of operation
in which we hand out commit bit to everyone very quickly.

It certainly makes it easier for people to start contributing but then
they can easily make changes that are not in our "standard" way
and we might not catch them easily.

So I wonder if it would be time to switch to a stricter process where
we expect new people to send patches?
