I guess it is ok with you to post this back to the Padre mailing list
as this is purely technical material. I think in general it is much better
to keep the list posted on such matters so others can also add their
own thoughts.

I am planning to extend it that way but I have way too much other
work to do. I thought to allow things like

perl5: code-to-run
that would be executed in a perl 5 repl.

just as there is

padre: command

this could also work with

perl6: command

There are already too many features in Padre that can confuse the new users.
I just saw this when teaching. We might want to trim them down to some
very basic
functionality or provide tutorials or some tool that will drive them
through the basic
steps.
