Hi,

first of all I'd like to thank all the translators who worked
hard to improve the translations in 0.82.

Unfortunately we had an issue (reported as
http://padre.perlide.org/trac/ticket/1132 )
that the messages.pot file was broken. This means some of
the translators might have also removed some of the valid
translations as the originals have disappeared from messages.pot.

I am sorry for the extra work this causes to you.

It seems that messages.pot is now correct. You might be able to
find the old translated strings in an previous version of the .po
files and avoid the need to translate them again.

It would be nice if you could continue the translation on the
trunk (!) so the next release will have even more complete
translations.

To avoid such problems I have added a test script to check
if the messages.pot file looks ok but of course we are only
checking the presence of a very limited set of strings.
Otherwise we would just duplicate the strings.

I also added code to check the version of xgettext before
updating messages.pot. I hope this will be ok.

In addition I added a cron-job to the server that will automatically
update the messages.pot file and commit it back to trunk before
the process to generate the report at
http://perlide.org/translations/ kicks in.

Doing it on the same machine all the time and
forcing the strings to be sorted will hopefully
mean the messages.pot file itself being
a lot more stable. That will make your efforts easier.

So please switch back to trunk and keep translating.
Let's see if we can get at least 10 language over 90%
completeness (green) and another 5 language over
60% (yellow) by the next release.

regards
   Gabor
