Hi Folks,

Completed work on hacking around with Wx::Scintilla build system.

I've posted tar.gz and patches to azawawi. I don't want to push a
totally unofficial version of Wx::Scintilla into the wild so I'm waiting
to see what azawawi thinks.

Tested on
CentOS 3 32 bit - custom built Perl
CentOS 5 32 bit - custom built Perl
CentOS 5 64 bit - custom built Perl
Fedora 14 32 Bit - system Perl & Wx
Ubuntu 10 32 Bit - system Perl & Wx
Ubuntu 11 64 bit - system Perl & Wx
Max OS X Snow Leopard - 32 bit custom Perl
XP 32 bit custom Perl & Wx
Vista 32 bit custom Perl & Wx
Vista 64 bit custom Perl & Wx
Win 7 64 bit custom Perl & Wx

Intel machines only, of course.

I tested a few ActivePerl installations too.

I can't quite get the system Perl on Mac OS X to work - but this isn't a
Wx::Scintilla problem I don't think. It all builds OK - but I get "Can't
find 'boot_Wx' symbol in Wx.bundle" when running the tests ???

I'm disinclined to spend too much time resolving the system Mac OS X
issue unless someone complains enough. It's probably changes in Wx_boot
over versions since Snow Leopard release.

The installation on Linux and Mac are a huge hack, of course. No
configure scripts etc. Oops :-)

Hope it all helps. Thanks to azawawi we have an editor window in 2.8.x
we can fix. Yippee!! Thought I'd chip in with a few build / installation
helpers.

Regards

Mark
