Hi Plinepa,

Padre is a GUI application, you need the WxWidgets to run it. I don't 
think that a windowmanager is required to run it, but you'ld need a X 
windowmanager on your Windows client to show the Padre window.

I suggest, that you run Padre on your Workstation (this is the typical 
use case) and edit files remotly.
