Surgut Fine Arts Museum invites all artists regardless
the age, nationality, or citizenship to take part in
the 3rd International Forum of Visual Humor
<KARIKATURUM>.

The closing date for submission of works for the
contest: September 1, 2005.

The jury operation period: September 6-8, 2005.

The exhibition opening date: April 1, 2006.

The winners awarding ceremony: June 12, 2006.

 

Main Prizes

The Golden Ushanka-hat $3000

The Silver Ushanka-hat $1500

The Bronze Ushanka-hat $500

 

Special Prizes

The Surgut Fine Arts Museum Prize $500

 

And other prizes instituted by the sponsors of the
Forum

 

The money prizes are subject to taxation.

 

l       For the main prizes winners the Forum
organizers will cover the hotel room payment in
Surgut, as well as the transportation charges to the
winners awarding ceremony by any kind of transport
from any town in Russia and back

l       All participants are invited to the exhibition
opening and the winners awarding ceremony
(transportation charges and hotel payments are at the
participant¡¯s expense).

l       On the results of the contest there will be
issued a catalogue.

All the authors whose works appear on the catalogue
will receive a free copy.

 

The Jury

Dieter Burkamp (Germany)- collectioner, journalist;
Vladimir Stepanov (Russia)- caricaturist; Valerij
Stignejev (Russia)- photographer; Leonid
Tishkov(Russia)- artist; Svetlana Kruglova (Russia) ¨C
arts expert.

 

l       Only original works are accepted for the
contest without restrictions in implementation;
graphic, painting, sculpture. Xerocopies and printed
copies are not accepted for the contest.

l       The graphic works size is from A4 (210*297) to
A2 (420*590).

l       No more than 5 works can be submitted for the
contest.

l       The works should be properly packed. The
postal charges for mailing the works are paid by the
contest participants.

l       A portrait (photo, cartoon or self-cartoon )
of the author and the filled questionnaire must be
attached to the works. Works without the
participant¡¯s questionnaire will not be accepted. On
the reverse side of the work the participant¡¯s name.

l       The works sent to the Forum will not be
returned and will remain in the Surgut Fine Arts
Museum collection.

l       The organizers keep the right to publish the
works in Mass Media and replicate these images in the
Forum publishing package for advertising the
exhibition without fee payment. The organizers take
the obligation to indicate the author¡¯s name, surname
and country in all publications.

l       When submitting works for the exhibition the
author guarantees that he/she has whether the
copyright6 or copyright authorization to exhibit and
/or publish the presented works.

l       The fact of participation in the Forum Means
that the participants accept the conditions of the
contest and agree to follow the jury¡¯s decision.
