Several scholarship/assistantship opportunities are available for highly
motivated Indonesian people to pursue a master or Ph.D. degree in
mechanical
engineering overseas with a specialty in manufacturing process and
technology including but not limited to the following topics:
- Machining/cutting
- Forming/bending
- Sheet metal working
- Quality control
- Robotics
- Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS)
- Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- Computer Aided Engineering (CAE)
- Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
- Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM)

following MINIMUM information:
1. Mention your work and educational history and your grade point
average
(GPA) / "Index Prestasi." List two GPAs:
a. Overall GPA (from first year of study until you finished your study)
b. Major GPA: GPA in your major/specialty/"Kelompok Bidang
Keahlian"/KBK. In
the U.S. system, major GPA refers to the last 2 year GPA.
Applicants who receive a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering will
receive the highest priority.
2. List the courses you have taken directly related with mechanical
engineering especially the courses that will support the above mentioned
topics (CAD, CIM, etc.)
3. Mention your Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score.
Minimum TOEFL score = 550 (old system ) or 250 (new system ). If you
have
not taken a TOEFL, please mention the date you want to take it.
4. Mention your Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score. Minimum GRE
score
= 1250. If you have not taken a GRE test, please mention the date you
want
to take it.
5. List the title of your research projects, undergraduate thesis,
internship (kerja praktek), presentations, and publications.
6. List your computer, research, and teaching skills/experience.
7. Mention your complete address including phone and fax numbers as well
as
2 (TWO) email addresses.
8. If you think that you are a religious person, mention your religion.
It
is fine if you do not want to mention your religion.
9. List your references ("orang yang bisa memberikan referensi tentang
kerja/kuliah yang sudah dilakukan") including their complete addresses,
phone, fax, and emails. Those people can be your work supervisor and at
least one of your former professors.
You must use Microsoft Word to type your resume/CV and it must be less
than
200 KB. Scan you resume file for a possible virus before sending it to
me.
I will delete virus-infected-files without any notice. Do NOT zip your
file.

Successful candidates will receive a tuition waiver ("tidak perlu bayar
SPP") and monthly stipend ("uang makan dan kos") enough for him/herself.
Assistantship will NOT cover your family. You must also pay your own
airline
ticket (around $1000 one way).
You have an obligation to teach/conduct research while receiving the
assistantship.
