Role Title:
Toll / Contract Manufacturing Manager
2. ROLE PURPOSE
To develop and maintain programs that ensure manufacturing standards, and HSE &
Quality standards are met at Toll & Contract sites throughout the Asia-Pacific
region. To provide Technical support to tollers and contract manufacturers in
APAC to ensure that proper operating procedures are developed and practiced,
operating parameters are defined and met, and contract technical compliance is
achieved
3. ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Lead specific projects as agreed with the regional/country supply managers
to address issues around supply, inventory, material consumption and costs with
toll and contract sites
· Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental principles become an integral
part of all processes given to our toll & contract sites.
· Ensure wastes are disposed of in a manner consistent with good stewardship
and optimal economics with a focus on waste minimization.
· Ensure that Quality Control sampling & analyses programs are in place to
manage Residual Impurity, and products meet integrity and compliance with label
claims.
· Develop, coordinate, and participate in the APAC audit program so that
risks at toll / contract sites are managed consistent with philosophy.
· Ensure timely follow up to audit findings (HSE / T&P / Quality).
· Toll / contract manufacturing in all countries.
· This role will develop and will maintain a product safety database
for toll / contract manufactured products.
· Undertake technology transfer to tollers for simple F&P tolling
contracts
4. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Critical Knowledge: Familiarity with HSE / QA regulations.
Understanding of waste management, process safety, risk assessment, and
chemistry principles.
Understanding of formulation, filling, & packaging processes & controls.
Understanding of SAP, SCALA systems.
Critical Skills: Team building, communication, interpersonal, project
management, analytical thinking, problem solving and influencing skills.
Additionally, critical thinking is a key skill when doing risk management and
making judgements of the acceptability of risk.
Role Profile - Continued
Critical Experience: Technical Degree in Chemistry or Engineering plus >5 years
post graduate experience in the agrochemicals business in a production
environment. Technical and operational understanding of formulation and
packaging process plants and processes. Advanced degree is a plus.
Track record of successful work on cross discipline teams.
Training / experience with demonstrated HSE & management skills.

6. CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS/KEY CHALLENGES IN FIRST 12 MONTHS
Assess capabilities of all tollers in the region, and develop improvement plans
as required.
HSE & Quality targets / requirements met.
Production costs are understood and optimised
Energy and Waste costs are identified and decreased.
Sites that do not meet requirements are abandoned or brought to standard.
A working relationship with the APAC ASLT and key country teams is established.
Waste management, risk analyses, safety data acquisition, auditing, and
application of quality requirements.
This is a regional role and involves 60% - 70% traveling. The position pays a
basic salary of around S$120,000 per annum.
