Thank you Daniel, Jason and Blake for your responses. To pass along
what I found, I am writing to the list. Hopefully, someone else might
be interested in some of this stuff.
First, thanks to all, I didn't realize that "relocation truncated to
fit" meant "unresolved external," it's so obvious now (not!)
Regarding my version of POSE or Copilot, (yes, I tried both,) I was
running POSE version 2.0b3 which is the current *supported* version.
I went ahead and got version 2.1d25 and everything is working now!
Idunno why I ended up needing the post-release version to run such
a simple program, but at least it's running now.
Thanks also for the other recommendations for GCC-ported sample code;
I'll check it all out tonight. Unfortunately, I don't have newsgroup
access, so I can't get to pilot.programmers.gcc, I guess I need a *real*
ISP (or figure out how to get there using what I've got :(
