Alan,

We seem to be on the same page here (no pun intended).  I posted last
week a question on the performance of resources vs. records and had no
replies.  I have had no time to check it out for myself yet.  But it
sounds like there is indeed a good reason to use resources if what you
heard was true.

As for resizes, they will be faster if the record gets smaller, but they
appear to be just as time consuming if making records larger.
